Crown Mountain Farms Animal Fibers - Mohair
The Angora Goat (not to be confused with the bunny) is the only goat breed to produce true "mohair." This luminous fiber is shorn from the goat twice annually, producing long curly locks. Many spinners love the brilliant color achieved from dyed mohair. Its warmth, softness and loft uniquely define this breed.
Originally from Asia Minor, the Angora Goat takes its
name from Ankara, Turkey. "Mohair" is a word derived from the Arabic
meaning "Select" or "Choice."
We offer kid mohair, which is the finest of all mohair fiber.
